Frequently Asked Questions on Insight Tree License Terms

1. Question: Is there a Trial version for Insight Tree?
   Answer: No, the Private Edition is a fully functional version without technical limitations. It is acceptable to use this version up to 4 weeks for evaluation before you order the professional version, if you have to (see table below).
    
2. Question: Do you really trust users who should use the Professional Edition that much, that you believe they will upgrade even with a free and unlimited Private Edition?
   Answer: Yes.
    
3. Question: I bought a full license for Occam's Tree, the predecessor of Insight Tree. Do I have to buy a new License key for Insight Tree Professional Edition?
   Answer: No. Occam's Tree license keys will turn Insight Tree into the Professional Edition without additional charges.
    
4. Question: I hate "Legalese". Do I have to read the entire EULA?
   Answer: The End User License Agreement (EULA) describes a formal agreement and contract between you and Visionary Tools. It is always a good recommendation to read such an agreement.
   But it may be easier for you to read the short description on licenses at Insight Tree Editions in Concise Language or have a look at the table below.
    
5. Question: I hate annoying pop-ups and messages saying "You are only using a trial," "Please buy," "Your time is running out" etc. Do I have to expect something like that in Insight Tree?
   Answer: No. Insight Tree Private Edition will have a little status message at the screen bottom when you open the software. You can just close this without any hassle.
    
6. Question: Are there any restrictions on time for the use of Insight Tree Private Edition?
   Answer: No. Please use the free license as long as your are eligible according to the End User License Agreement (EULA).
    
7. Question: I work as a trainer resp. teacher. If I want to use Insight Tree for educational purposes, will I have to buy a Professional Edition?
   Answer: No. Please see list below, you are eligible for the Private Edition.
   By the way: We are currently developing some materials (Powerpoint slides, texts), which may help you saving development time. Just ask: E-Mail.
    
8. Question: I am preparing for an exam and Decision Tree Analysis and Business Case Modeling are part of the Body of Knowledge which I should master. Will I have to buy a Professional Edition?
   Answer: No. Please refer to the EULA or check the table below. You are eligible for the Private Edition.
    
9. Question: I am eligible for the Private Edition but would like to support Visionary Tools. How can I do that?
   Answer: There are generally two options:

-	Send us feedback how you are using Insight Tree and allow us to publish it.
-	Even if you are eligible for the Private Edition, you may still want to buy the Professional Edition here.
