Choosing a Style, Formatting Nodes and Setting the Status Date

Change the style of boxes, text and numbers.

Managing Styles

Use the "Styles" menu to select a style from a list of choices, save the style you have developed locally and to delete a style from your list.

Use the "File - Import style..." menu to import a style from a style file (ending *.itr or *.itrs). You can select more than on style at a time which will then be updated to your style list.

Use the "File - Export style..." menu to save your current style settings in a style file, which you can send to your friend.i

Formatting and Style Development

Use the "File - Tree properties" menu to change formats and style settings:

  1. Use of outline codes:
    Outline codes are a representation of the hierarchical structure of a decision tree. Each node has a unique number formatted as 1, 1.1, 1.1.1 etc.

  2. Setting the status date:
    The status date is used to set due dates for decisions as overdue. It is by default the system date of your computer, but you may set any other date.

  3. Changing the style settings currently used:
    The "Style" tab allows for complex adaptation of colors, font, size and style. You have a broad variety of options. Try to get familiar with the inheritance of settings in the Node type hierarchy.

  4. Setting the currency and number format
    Type or select the currency (if any), decimal places shown etc. for payback fields.
